Dahua NVR Cannot Add IPC? Error Codes and Solutions

When adding an IPC (IP Camera) to a Dahua NVR, the system may display an error code in the channel interface if the device cannot be added successfully.

Error “-1” – Device Does Not Support High-Security Login

Solution:
Change the authentication mode to Compatible Mode.


Error “1” – Incorrect Username or Password

Solution:
Add the IPC using the correct username and password.


Error “2” – Username Does Not Exist

Solution:
Use the correct IPC username and password when adding the device.


Error “3” – Login Timeout

Solution:
Check the network connection first.


Error “4” – Duplicate Login

Solution:
Enable user reuse (multiple login) for the corresponding IPC user.


Error “5” – Account Locked

Solution:
Power off and restart the IPC to unlock the account, then add it again using the correct username and password.
